*Yasmine will be present the entire time, so we will have adult supervision.

hey guys! This is in response to nic's post.
Just wanted to say that nic, YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN THE WORLD!!!
We're all here for you.
and just to let you know i completely know how you feel cause i sort of experienced it this year as well but it's my best friend.

she and i arent really as close anymore cause she like sort of did some stuff that really hurt me and she didnt apologise and stuff....
she used me for a lot of stuff and like used my name and lied (a lot) esp to me and her parents
for those who were there for my birthday last year, she lied to her parents abt that too
and even now as i try to patch things up right, she goes all defensive as says that it's not her fault and stuff and blames it all on her parents
all this stuff that she did made me cry(at home) way more than i've ever cried before... (nic, don't feel bad)

yea, so until now it's all pretty rough and doesnt seem to be getting better so yea.
just wanted to share that cause it's been bottled up for really long

so nic, dont feel sad cause we're all here for you!!!

hey guys! really never blog for very long.
but im here today to ask and consult you guys about a big problem i have.
Friends that doesnt care.
i have this grp of friends. we were quite okay, last year. but things got worse this year.
it all started when i decieded to "pangseh" them for service learning. we all plan to go china, but then when the list came out, i dont feel like going anymore, so i opted for local.
and they got angry.
things kinda got "solved" but i can feel that they arent really happy about things,
and when i ask them, they say things are alright. (can feel that they're lying)

and my grp of friends arent really holy. most claim to be christians, but actions shows otherwise. they insult teachers behind their backs, call them names, plot plans to "get back" on the teacher. at first it was kind of fun, but then as time goes, it wasnt that fun anymore. i know its wrong. and sometimes they are just hating the teacher for no reason. just for the fun of it.

and knowing that they are this kind of ppl, it scares me. cause now i try to not be so close to them, and join another grp. im afraid that they will like insult and scold me and stuff behind my back. and they always like scold and gossip about people until super -what!- one!

and then, my studies the best among them. then they will always ask me problems and stuffs.
so i always try my best to teach them. but they dont seem to reciprocate it.
they always end the converstion with a "thanks nicholas, you are so kind" but who knows if it is real?

and then when i need help. no one cares. no one returns an sms, no one bothers to ask if i need help and stuff. so one day.
(its kinda embarassing)
i kinda cried...
and it was in class.
ok i know! its bad! and the term sarah would use is "gay".
but i couldnt take it anymore. the best part is..
THEY DIDNT EVEN ASK WHY I CRY!
what in the world la!
and then one of othem said, "if nicholas is angry with me, i dont know whats his problem."

what can i say?

then i smsed yasmine a few days later.
and she said i should help them even if they dont care.
the problem now is, it is so difficult.
its like putting a candle in the desert storm and expecting it to continue burning.
it should wouldnt burn on what.
i read the Lent Booklet today.
it says " Lenten journey is one of repentance, that is, changing directions from self, self-serving patterns and a myopic focus towards the others-focused way of life of following Jesus. We follow Jesus in laying down ourselves for others and trust that the power of that raised Jesus from the dead...."
how to do that?

now each time i think of going to school, this grp of friends appear in my head and it really kills the interest of schooling.

any suggestions?

okayy nich "arrowed" me to blog for fusion so I shall.
I wasnt expecting much cause last year I didnt really get much out of it but I guess that was because I only went for the night session.
it was quite cool as in the worship was amazing and I felt that God was there with us you know. and when they had the altar call for people who needed others to pray for them. nich wanted to go and I didnt really want to cause I didnt feel the pull to go. but he gave me the "I dont wanna go alone" look so I was like okay I'll go with you so I went up. and eunice prayed for me and its like when she started praying I just started crying and after that it felt as if part of my pain and worries were gone. and every time I go for altar calls somehow, people'll pray about the same topic haha. so yeah slowly its all being taken away. thats fun stuff.

NEW DESIGN!? wording

this is my new design. for our YSG shirt next year.
the background is words, Bible Verses, many many verses.
like John 3:16, John 13:34, 1 Corinthians 13:3, Psalms 24:7-10 and many many more!
inspired by nothing, i was praying, asking God to give me a design, and then after thinking for awhile, this appeared. yeah. i've worked on this for 2 days. and there are special verses that have Keep, the Flames and Burning. yeah. workeed hard for this design!

POTLUCK IS CANCELLED
as what Jeremy said, the food will get soggy.
and i think it's pretty troublesome to carry trays of food around, especially if we have to shop for our Cookie Ingredients. :D

so, i plan to order Pizzas, from Canadian Pizza, cox it's 2 for 1! :D
whoo. and the pizzas are not bad,

The Big Small Group Sleepover Itinerary

The Timetable is Out after some planning by the Chans... here goes...

SUNDAY
11.15am- service ends. go to PS for lunch
12.30pm- Buy food and snacks from Carrefour with the vouchers we won!
1.30pm- leave PS to go to The Superhappy House (aka the Chans residence)
2.00pm- reach home, unwind, unpack, chill
3.00pm- worship (led by andrew!) and sharing
4.30pm- prepare food for picnic/freetime/indoor games
5.30pm- leave house
6.00pm- dinner outside (place not confirm yet)
7.30pm- Night Safari!
10.30pm- End (the girls will head to Natalie's house while the rest will head back to our house)
11.00pm- reach home/bathe/watch DVDs/snacks and supper/games
late- zzzzz

MONDAY
9.00am- leave house
9.30am- breakfast at vivocity Macs
10.30am- head to Sentosa beach
11.00am- QT
11.30am- games (Natalie i/c) and more fun under the sun!! we can play the luge!

end around 4.30pm (but those who want to stay abit later for dinner together, feel free!)

1. one set of clothes for sleeping (unless you want to sleep in whatever you're wearing)
2. two set of clothes for sentosa (the 2nd set to change when you get dirty in the sea)
3. swimwear for swimming at sentosa
4. toothbrush (we provide you the toothpaste)
5. towel
6. bible
7. notebook
8. markers and pens
9. some money for food and if you want to play the luge at sentosa (estimate $30 should be enough)
10. ez-link card
11. camera if you have to take many pictures!
12. lastly, bring your YSG T-shirt! we can wear it together when we go sentosa on Monday!

for the contact lens wearers, I have the multi purpose solution if you need. we will also provide the soap and shampoo.

Hello hello. Its Carolyn here, and I'm super relieved.
Guess whose O level chinese paper is over?? :D
It was pretty manageable nonetheless, and probably closest I'll ever get to an A for chinese. So we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I hope your week's been great, and that day by day, you're learning to love your life and yourself more and more.

Our God is a great god, and he will do miracles in your lives, if only YOU LET HIM. Imagine this, he's holding out an outreached arm, and on it, he offers you a gift, the gift of love like nothing you've ever experienced. Its pure, sincere and unwavering. More powerful than familial love, romantic love and platonic love. Its the best love of all, the love of God to his people, whom he created. Everything he does is based on that love- all the trials and tribulations in your life, all the joy and jubilee.

Ask him: If he loves you so much, why does he subject you to pain and agony in your life?
Because a smooth sea never made a skilful marine. You need hardship and sadness to make you stronger, and not take life for granted.

Our life's a journey, and only one who masters it can reach the final destination in Heaven. hey guys,

had fun today at sentosa, and for those of you who went, your skin would probably start hurting tomorrow, so do spam some moisturizer, helps alot.

anyways, just wanted to say something

HOW TO REIGN FOR GOD 101

1) well, I figured, Jesus was sent to Earth to take away our sins
2) he believes that we are destined to reign for him so we can spread blessing to others
says in romans 5:17 :"for if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift or righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
3) so how to we reign for him? well guys the bible states that we are to reign in life through him by recieving two important thing: a) the abundance of grace
b) the gift of righteousness
those who think that these two should be earned, go shoot yourself. We do not have to earn it, God being the loving God he is, does not care what you do in life, instead giving you these two free-of-charge (yes lon, its free)
4) it is also said in the bible that when Jesus "sits down" means that his work on earth is already done, he has taken away our sins, and no matter how much sin is done now, is forgiven by him. (cool right?) (if you also notice, the pastors in the churches never sit, because they can never finish the work of Christ.)
5) Jesus came down to earth to fulfill all the laws - written law of the 10 commandments. take a bank installment when buying a car. after paying for the car with the monthly installments, you can stop sending money to the bank. likewise, no matter how much law breaking you have done, you can say Jesus died on the cross for that very sin 200o odd years ago, which was the monthly installments. but that does not mean we must sin.
6) Guys, in order to also reign for Him, we should also acknowledge the fact that we have God's grace, the grace that heals the sick, cures the weak and much more, by doing this we have already disarmed the devil. (yeah baby)

thus concluding, the grace of God is undeserved, and we should accept his righteosness and grace, then shall we reign for him. Keep this in mind this through out the week, and remember that Jesus wants us to live a perfect but yet impossible life thus him giving us the name CHRISTians. (sorry of it is abit too long)

Exams are coming, parents are nagging, people are studying,

you are playing.

Let me tell you, if you are stressed or panicking due to exams, don't. Close your eyes, pray and tell God that you are committing your time into his hands. Do this with the right attitude and the right intentions, and he will give you sufficient preparation for your exams.

Yesterday morning, I was panicking, because I have amath and chemistry tomorrow, and I haven't really started revision at all. I couldn't eat properly, I couldn't sleep properly, I couldn't even talk to others properly. But then I was talking to a friend, and he told me to stop worrying, because God makes miracles, and if I have faith, then things will turn out alright.

And that's why I'm not worried now, because I have God.

Beat that, satan.

below is the start date of the exams for the ppl in our group... for some of you who didn't reply me, I'm just gonna guess... anyway, it's a good way to show love to one another in the group by praying for each other during this stressful period (ok, maybe not so stressful for some of you). and if you are game, take the extra step just to drop a sms to say that you've prayed for him/her. i think that's pretty encouraging :)

everyone seem very sad these few days.
i noticed. dont mind if i say it out.
kaikin seem to be very upset over a girl he likes?
sarah is upset over dexter moving out.
i'm upset beacuse life dont go on as how i want it to be, and i feel life rather sad at times.
i dont think this is called emo-ing, or as my school friends say "mid-live'' crisis for me!
i think they are just joking. but i really dont know why i feel like this all a sudden.
i know clearly that it's not because of exams.
i'm quite sad these few days cause.
frankly, i cant get over my last ex..
( i know some people will call it stupid!)
but then sometimes, we all have feelings too.
i cant say i dont like means i dont like what.
as in, i really like this girl, and she likes me as well.
but i think i accidentally hurt her, because i said i wanted more personal time with my other friends as she is quite "sticky" in that sense, cause she is new in the school and i'm her only guy friend. yeah. and then i think that caused her to feel hurt.
and then we didnt hang out as often and we broke up. and then i cant get over it because i know that it's because of the lack of communication between us. she has kept some unhappy things to herself, like she is very sad that i said that and stuff.
and now, she told me things have changed and that it would be difficult for us to get back together.

and i dont know. some guys in the other class dont really like me and i'm quite disturbed by that fact. i did nothing to them as we werent close at all.
in fact i never communicated with them. but they seem to dislike me alot.
my friend from that class said they are like that and they also dislike alot of other people,
but i just dont like it.

i just feel very tired both mentally and physically.

Hello! people , why is no one posting ?? I have a valid reason not t be post cus my common tests are here while you all are probably slacking off somewhere. so unfair k !!
So how have you all been? I havent been coming t church I havee t study and I cant go either the next 2 weeks although i am on holiday cus i have camp and unfortunately it falls on both weekendss. hehe dont miss me too much k . I was looking through our previous posts like in decc haha i really miss those times, i am getting old haha thats why i amm reminiscing about the pastt .
Anywayy I feel that I have been drifting further away from God recently with all my school work and stuff and i feel quite guilty about it . The only time I spend with him is at night when i pray to him before I go to sleep, I dont even do quiet time anymore, sighh but i shall try to fit him in and be reminded of him . Its only when i face problems in life then i look t him for help, its wrong for me to do tt , I have t keep in constant contact with him regardless of the situation I am facing. hey guys! I finally updated our birthdays on the right! So now we have no excuse to forget each other's birthdays!

Sam, yup I'm glad you found inspiration in the movie pursuit of happiness. It was rather depressing at first when the character was constantly facing so many obstacles in his life.

Andrew, you asked a really good question. I think everyone gave very good answers too! I think we shouldn't constrain "image" being just physical image because God does not exist in our physical realm. But if He does, He will look like us because we are all made in the image of God. Which is why when God came down, He took the form of man (not ape).

I asked sc what does being made in the image of God means... he said "To be like God lor."

Hmmm... we can discuss more of this in class one day....

Im not sure if any of you watched this movie but after buying the dvd and watching it I felt it had a really deep meaning we all can relate to

Based on the Life story of Chris Gardner who is a African American man living in San Francisco

as a salesman who struggles though life to pay the taxes, feed the family etc.

The whole movie is based on the 3 words pursuit of happiness which I feel really means something because I now ponder if we can really achieve happiness but rather Happiness is something we run after, and how people rich or poor somehow get on with life without really thinking about it but rather complaining about how much their life sucked.

I think you guys should check this movie out sometime soon cause it really opened my eyes

and inspired me to be stronger as a person.

Hello!lynette here. heh i have been so busy with school that i barely have time to look at our blog.
Anyway I think god created us to look like him but not in the physical sense but like our values and beliefs in us. In physical sense, we were all created differently thus making us unique in our own way. Hahaha and lon hau your theory that Cain did it with apes is just wrong, currently there is still no factual evidence that human evolved from apes and as a christian you are suppose t believe that God created humans not from the evolution of monkeys.
About the nostradamus stories, i think its possible for them to see into the future, I mean like in the bible there are prophets who can tell what happens in the future too because God gave them the ability to do so heh but I think the diffference from now and then is that those people in the ancient times use their ability for a good cause like how Noah built an ark before the storm came and although he asked many people to get on the ark , no one believed him.
Yup these are just my thoughts on it . I need t get back t doing my research on some boring stastics thing. see you guys on sunday!

Hey guys have you all heard of the Nostradamus stories that have been going around the media or web? I just watched the show on the History Channel mostly out of bordem. I was kinda freaked by the way he could predict things that had "happened" or is going to happen. Alot of people just pass his word as just pure lies :S Im not too sure myself but I can be a bit skeptical at times, but it was rather too coincidental that history somewhat came out the way he predict it to be.
He was supposed to be of a Church from the southern Part of France which was set up by some Templars to protect Christians back in the 12th century (the Knights were literally slaughtered by some other group while they were protecting the Christians). He was said to have use the different images from the church entrance to "predict" the end of time.

I dont really see much of prediction in his pictures, they look kinda like those from fairy tales and stuff. There are supposed to be codes also written down in the pictures, one of which was the words one male which was surprising because English wasnt used in France widely during his time period, in fact Modern English wasnt invented yet butt still those words appeared in one of pictures

Like I just mentioned earlier I think he probably drew kiddy drawings that turned into somewhat remarkable predictions through out time, like how one book was strikingly similar to the events of the Titanic but the book was published way before the Titanic sank. I kinda stick to his prediction to be just over imaginative thoughts researchers had come across, bring alot of theories but not many answers.

hey Lon... what is the title of the book? It doesn't sound like a christian book to me.

I would certainly have to disagree with what you read.

firstly, the bible says we are made in the image of God... not in the image of animal, nor monkey... so there's no way law of evolution works. it goes completely against what God has created and set in place. I don't think it was God's intention to create half human half ape.

secondly, whatever you read is really pure speculation. there is no proof that cain actually did it with an ape. in fact, if u read the first few chapters of luke.. there it documents the line of Jesus and how it tracked back all the way to adam. there is definitely no mention of monkey there. as to the question about how the human race grew from just adam and eve, it's a long story and i will explain to you in person.

lon, as much as we always tease u being the monkey... i really hope u don't truly believe that your ancestors were really monkeys. =p

logically speaking, how can that be possible? if what you read is true, then there not only will be human-apes.. there should other kinds of cross-breeds as well. basically, it is a flawed argument.

guys, i urge you all to be discerning in what you read. do not always believe what you read... but ask the Holy Spirit to guide you (all of us have the Holy Spirit living in us). In these days, there are all kinds of media that can distract you away from God's truth. these books/tv programs/movies set to tell us that what we believe is fake etc.

Lon, thanks for sharing anyway... i think it's good that we always share smthg cool abt what we read and discuss about it together. remember, always read with a careful mind. the devil lies and is full of deceit and he wants to bring everyone down with him with his fabricated stories.

haha ok so get this, remember when people said that whatever charles darwin thought bout apes becoming humans and those stuff were bullshit? i think what he said might be true.
adam and eve did youknowwhat and gave birth to two sons, cain and abel. then cain killed able, or was it the other way round, ok so anyway one of them killed each other, and the other survived. so lets say cain was the one who survived, so how did he produce children?

the bible stated that he did youknowwhat with his wife and gave birth to this guy called enoch and then made a city and so on. but you see, imagine cain, being a man, and all men have typical 'urges', if you know what i mean, was walking around in the jungle, and suddenly stumbled upon a femlae ape. because of his overexcessive male hormones that overcame him, he jumped on it and did youknowwhat. hence, the babies were halfape and halfmen. thus, it was the starting of the charles darwin theory. these halfape and halfmen did youknowwhat with each other and then slowly, became closer looking to humans, and then, finally, humans!

it sounds retarded but i mean, he cant possibly have done it with his mom right? eve would surely be like.. 'hellno go do it with some other person,..... or ape?'

so this enoch, his son, might be a halfman halfape, the bible didnt state that it's fully human or what, he might have named this creature enoch and called it his son.

Hey guys! Its carolyn here, on behalf of me and sarah, the wonderful wonderful TREASURERS.

Firstly, we need a GROUP FUND, which would go towards birthdays, fellowship, outings and whatever we might come up with. So, we have decided on the nice, small sum of $2 each, which you guys would need to pay me by next sunday or the following sunday. I trust everyone, EVEN PANG LONHAU, would be able to afford it. :D

Secondly, CIP ACTIVITIES. Yas suggested pooling together money to donate to charity, but we thought, why not be actually do CIP together as a group? We could do flag day or go to the old folks home or something. I don't know, but if you're interested in that idea, do tell us, so we can try to plan something or another.

ok, erm, last sunday was REALLY fun, i keep replying the day in my head cause it was like the funnest fellowship we ever had!! i was just doing my Amaths homework then i was browsing my old songs in my MP3 the i reach this song called " i will carry you" from clay aiken, the i decided ti hear the song, and at first i find that the lyrics is meaningful and i plan to tell sumay and all my good friends that are in trouble that "i'll carry you" no matter what happens and i'll always be here,

and i find that its is just so important. suddenly the thought that God is trying to tell me the same thing.
no matter how stressful, how sad, how bad my life is, when darkness flood my eyes, when im falling behind, God will be there to carry me. and i'm starting to feel that i cant take this stressful live anymore and the lyrics of this song jus rings in my head, reminding me that God is there for me. Especially yesterday when my classmate told my other school friend that i cant sing, i was just so disspaointed in him, and whats worst is my art teacher told me that my art cannot make it, when i thought my design was so good already, i jus feel like crying. even the two areas that im suppose to be good at, ppl are telling me that i suck at it, and i jus feel that i have no talent, and i jus cried yesterday when i thought of all this things.but my friend told me that we all have talents and she like cheered me up, i jus feel God's grace to me and maybe i should trust God more that He will help me. and a feeling inside me jus really promted me to write this blog entry, i dont know if its God but i jus feel so happy now, that i know that there's so many other good friends out there that will care for me. and to eveyone out there, dont be discourage when you think you'r life is screwed, dont worry, God's there to carry you. i think i should go back to my A maths now, i'm like not concentrating...

hey guys!
hope you all had a wonderful christmas! i think i cooked and ate too much!
thank you nic for putting all the designs up on the blog! this sunday we will print them out and discuss how we want it to look like on the t-shirts! yay! so exciting!

we'll be doing something a little different this sunday. since it's the last small group of the year before we begin again in 2008, i hope to take the time for everyone to share about our personal resolutions and commitments for the next year. also, i'm gonna share with you guys what our vision for the small group will be next year (i.e. what we hope to achieve by the end of 2008). after that, we can play some games! i just borrowed taboo from my fren. it's very fun!

lets meet 10.30am (enough time for you to sleep abit later?) at commonwealth mrt station. this sunday is COMPULSORY for everyone k? I hope all of you will turn up because it is gonna be very important for the whole small group. every single one of you is significant and makes a contribution to our FANTASTIC small group. therefore, it's vital that all of us be there. anyone missing from the group will be like a jigsaw puzzle with a missing piece =) so PLEASE encourage each other to turn up this sunday! and don't be late!

I just got back from the most indulgent afternoon ever. I woke up at 12pm, changed and stuff, went out for lunch at 1pm, at dempsey hill, this super classy place with nice food and all. We ate at harry's, and i had two mocktails, a shirley temple and a pussyfoot. Nice man.
Then we drove to novena ville, so we could have our kampong fish therapy, where you submerge your body(or body parts) in to a tub full of warm water and hundreds of small kampong fish. And you guessed it, the fish would then swarm your skin, nibbling off your dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth and rejuvenated! :) Warning though. Extremely ticklish(lyn and i couldnt stop squirming and screaming) and expensive. Its like 30, 40 bucks per person for half an hour. :S
Next up, united square for a body and foot massage at Wanying. 40 bucks for the foot massage, lasting 40 minutes and 36 bucks for the body massage, lasting 20 minutes. So all in all, we spent an hour there, getting pressed and rubbed and massaged. Its a bit painful but very very shiok. Its amazing the things they can do with their hands.
Anyway, this post shld be about what its title suggests, ym camp and the christmas party, so.

Ym camp 2007, for me, was an awesome experience. The sermons and worships touched me and impacted me so much, i was often reduced to tears, as tzeyong and lyn would probably know. Pastor How preached about living your life not for yourself but for others, and also becoming a not only righteous christian, but a holy one as well. I made a strong conviction to live my life for god, to live him in my everyday life and actions. Its difficult i know, but i'm going to give it my best shot, because he deserves all that i am. Jesus Christ, a sinless man, died on the cross for us, a couple of sinful men. He sacrificed so much and went through so much pain, for people as undeserving as us.
Think about it, would you do it? Let yourself be charged and despised for things you never did, and then sent to experience flesh tearing pain, to have nails hammered into your swollen hands and barbed wire jammed onto your bloody head and to be hung on a wooden cross for all to laugh and ridicule at? No. Which is why, i believe we all really owe alot to God, to repay him for all he's done for us, and to reach out to others, to let them know of God's great power and might. Personally, thats alot for me, because being in a non christian school, people around me come from all sorts of backgrounds and families, and i'm also pretty self consious, and i'm afraid they think i'm some sort of holy freak who goes everywhere preaching. Thats stupid, so i pray that one day, soon, i'll overcome that and set out to do what God has destined for me to do.
Also, i would like to thank god for touching so many of my friends at this camp, esp tzeyong, this being his first camp and all, i really saw him being touched and experiencing god for the first time. And i can safely say, that that experience is life changing. After you feel god, you never forget it, and it spurs you on to want to be a better person, a person truly walking the path of christ. I pray that all of us in this cell group, would one day be able to feel god the way many of us have.
Well, ym camp was as usual, really awesome, but god, my father, you're even awesome-er. :)

Christmas partyyyy yesterdayyyy was really greattttt. I love you guys alot, and i'm waiting for the photos to surface, so i can 'kope' them all and save the wonderful memories in my mind permanently. Here are little messages for all of you guys.
Lyn: my dearest sister, having you around is truly wonderful, and i love the way you are crazy and bimbotic("I cant get sunburnt!"), because that reminds me that i'm not the only crazy bala. :)
Yas: heyy cell leader! thank you for leading us to become such a bonded, close cell group under your great leadership, as well as teaching us about god, for us to know and love him so much more.
Shaocai: I know you've been busy studying the past year, but just know that you're never forgotten, and we're all waiting, until you come back to lead our group with yas.
Tzeyong: heylo best friend, thank you for your concern yesterday, after i got that depressing phone call, and i promise i told you everything there is to it, so dont worry. :) i like your house and pool, since i finally got to see it, after dunno how long.
Nick(y): You are one emotional guy, esp when it comes to your girlfriend, who "means the world to you". i really got to know you better yesterday, whats with the 'talks' and stuff. :) i hope you know who's carolyn and who's lynette by now.
Nat: hello you toughie. you're the only one who willingly goes chasing after the guys to smack their guts out. but sometimes they deserve it, so go GO nat, defend the girls! and forget the lousy shawn. like, seriously, you deserve better, because you rock.
Jess: thanks for being the sensible one, and telling me all that stuff which i simply didnt notice before. i never really knew you before, but now that i know you better, you're really great! :)
Lonhau: Skinny monkey! i am still laughing at you, mgs boy. :) you are the life of the party, with your jokes(which are not funny), retardism and outer space-ism.
Sarah: heyyyy! i'm glad you came to camp and the party, because i got to know you better, beyond the quiet girl you normally are in church. you're actually quite fun and adventurous, which is mighty cool can. :)
Dom: hello half a man! i believe you wont stay child-like all your life, so dont worry, very soon your mom would be telling you that you're a full man!
Lihao: you're more of a quiet one in the cell group compared to the rest, but thats okay, because you're still an impt part of the cell group, the normal one amongst the crazy.
everyone: i love you guys alot, and thank you for being such a great part of my life. i look forward to us being together for years to come! :)

went to camp the last 4 days! and at first, i dint sign up for camp, but the day before camp, yasmine told me that theres space for camp, so i decided to go and ya, i think it is jus amazing, maybe God wanted me to go for this camp and im not jus lucky to go, maybe God jus planned it all. and i was suppose to go HK, but at the end, it was postpone to nxt year, so yeah, maybe GOd did all this jus for me t go camp, which i really thank him! I LOVE YOU JESUS! (:
i remeber this sentence in the song we sang, "break my heart, for what breaks yours"
and i think its jus so important for yus to be christ-like and know GOD.
i think camp rocks. and everyday , there's altar-call
but not everyone went and i dint go for everything.
camp really just allow me to built up my spritual being with GOd,
i think it jus rocks. it realy touches ppl around.
i've learnt that being a christian is not only being jus a christian
but i have to shine God's Glory to the ppl around me and have a Father heart of GOD
and i promise to God that i'll try to be nice to amanda lin and treat everyone around me with
kindness."others can; i cannot" is another very inportant phrase that i learnt, others can scold the f word, others can watch porn, others can bully, but i cant becox im a christian and i have to honour god with everything i do. yeah. i fell that i have like become very "holy" or just more "holy" after the camp. and i learnt that holiness is NOT equals to rightneouess and that is really something that is so important, becox i tot that once you are a christian, you are holy and rightenous.i've made a promise to GOD that i'll serve him in this ministry, but im in chapel band and God told me that it is not enuf, so i really dont know what to do. mayb ..i dont know.
this is my first camp in YM, and yes, it is a very good exprience. i am going for other very camp in YM next time (: im afriad that after 1 month, i'll lose this close relationship wif GOD and its jus so scary to lose GOD. i think CAMP ROCKS! theres really too much to say and i cant say it out lrh.. too much.

Hey guys! i am the first person to blog after church camp :) once i came home from lunch, i just set myself on my bed and fell asleep until like 830 , tt happened to carolyn too then now we are ordering pizza in . But i felt that it was all worthwhile despite the severe lack of sleep i had to undergo.

The sermons really touched me, they were easy to understand and digest. Like what others can ,i cannot. For me personally, i convicted to spend time with god every single day whether or not i have exams or am busy. And i will not date anybody unless i have the intention of getting married to them or i can imagine living my life with them cus i think dating nowadays have been too casual for many people. everyone i am sure has this corner in them who wants to be loved by someone and this yearning usually causes us to seek for our better half but i think at my age, i am not mature enough . and i know god is there for me and he told me deep in my heart that when the time is right, the right person will appear and i will just know it. i shouldnt just plunge into any relationship. These are the two convictions i made to god duriing church camp.

However, to my dismay when the pastor how told us whether or not i could run up to protect the weak when i see them in trouble, i didnt think i could, i mean it depends on the circumstances. Like when i see a man being beaten up my gangsters, i dont think i actually have the courage to go up there and stop them , at most i will just call the police. Hopefully one day god will empower me with the courage to stop them.

Okay i will blog more on the camp next time, i think all of you must be getting bored after reading my lengthy post. Oh anyway, i want to thank our whole ysg3 group for helping me grow closer to god this past yr although sometimes some of you are so filled with rubbish sometimes. For instance, I saw lonhau go up for an altarcall and i dont know why but i was really happy for him that although he acts so crazy and sick in the mind, he still acutally has the heart to worship god :) i was really touched by what god can do for all of us. Oh yeah i am suppose to end now. God bless everyone pray tt it doesnt rain on wed k .

anyway, just some updates. i just moved! right now, i'm staying at tanglin halt rd, just beside commonwealth mrt. sometimes, we can hear the mrt sound. but if we close the windows, we can't really hear it.

it's pretty fun having our own place. we can make as much noise we want. no one hogging the television. i have my own fridge! it's no longer as cramped as before.

we've been busy getting the house ready. alot of cleaning to do now that there are no parents to clean the house for us. haha.

Yesterday we played this game called "I have never". Made some startling new discoveries:

-Dom has never been above 36 kg! (Now I know I can easily throw him out of the window whenever he is not paying attention!)
-Jonathon has never worn a white shirt out before (because he's afraid of getting it dirty!)
-Sean has never worn black socks
-Jeremy has never been late for school!

I think I can only remember those. Anyway, Natalie won the game! Followed by Dom and then Ben I think.

Yesterday we also had a new girl, Sarah, joining us. She was previously living in Beijing for 3 years because her father got posted there. Welcome Sarah! Hope you are reading this! Sarah was very good at playing the game yesterday. All she had to say was "I have never taken PSLE" and we all got killed already.

This Sunday is fellowship Sunday.
I've booked the same room we use every Sunday. We can meet up, fellowship over some snacks. You guys can bring your books to study together. Any questions can ask me (I try to answer but no gurantees!). I'm good with Maths and Science! haha. But don't ask me all the bio questions! Ooh I was a Physics and Chemistry nerd!

hey guys! today we celebrated ben's bday. lon hau and zhiyong bought him slimming pills (SO MEAN!). nic made a card and i bought a cake! some of us who could make it went out after class time to E2Max again. this time we watch mr and mrs smith. really hilarious!

something i wanna share. just now when i was out after dinner, i realised i lost my camera! i got a shock cos i couldnt remember where i misplaced it. i called up carolyn, ben and the others but no one seemed to have seen the camera.

so i prayed really hard that God will help me recover my camera as i really dont have money to buy a new one (even tho the camera is quite old!).

and God answered my prayer! the moment i reached home, i called up lost and found and the camera was there! thank God for honest people!

yup, just wanna share my testimony of how good God is!

anyway, most of you don't seemed very interested in today's lesson. just wanna share it briefly again here because i hope to bless you with this message. basically, i wanna challenge you guys to see God beyond your situation. even tho it might seem like life is unfair and God does not seem to be answering your prayers, have faith to believe that God has a purpose for your trials. who knows? God may use you to bless the people around you!

Hello! I havent blogged for ages due to prelims and my laziness. Prelims are almost over, thank god ! I finally can start sleeping well, i have been so nervous for my papers, i barely get 6 hrs of sleep everyday. And my way for venting my frustrations is to start screaming, talking nonsense and talking to my soft toys therefore making people think i am crazy. Heh..

So my prelims like end on mon and on tue they are returning back the papers, they dont actually give us time to relax and be free of worries, whyy? must i live in such a stressful place namely singapore.

On the brighter side, i am going out for dinner now, just thinking of food makes me happy seriously thats the only thing i am living for...

Why is no one blogging?

Anyway, we just had our YM event--Fruitolympics at Clementi stadium. When the first game started, I got injured already. I had a coconut flying onto my face during the game. haha. actually, come to think about it, it's quite funny.

Thanks to carolyn, lon hau and ben and the rest of the crosstrainers for planning the game. The rugby game looked fun. we should play it some time! Zhiyong had his whole head dunked into the tank for one of the forfeit! It was quite fun, but I wished our group wasn't split up into different teams!

Ok. that's all now. See you guys normal time this Sunday. I will be teaching a bible study this sunday. can't wait to see u all! take care!

I've got prawn mee waiting for me downstairs, but that can wait a few more minutes, until I managed to blog. :) SO, hello.

Haha the past week has been pretty cool, and my parents are away, so that means alot of freedom, which I sometimes love, sometimes hate. :) But theyre back from melbourne now, so I guess life reverts back to normal, more or less.

Anyway, I like the idea of multiple religions originating from christianity. After all, God did create the universe. So by right, everything should come from him. And thinking about it, many religions have similar teachings, an example being the crime of murder and adultery etc. MAYBE AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE ARE ACTUALLY THE SAME. cool.

Well, before I can resist the temptation of my prawn mee downstairs, let me say thank you, to all the special people who talked to me and listened to me through the past week. Wait....then why are other religions so different. I mean like "buddha", "reincarnation", "karma", "pantheon of gods", "gaia" and all that stuff, dont tell me they were just spin offs of the bible. And the prophets creating a whole new religion...well, i know my knowledge is not vast, but i defnitely know god didnt want his prophets to totally warp the whole meaning. Thats like.....your mum telling you to guy buy a carton of milk, and you end up buying the whole supermarket ( sorry im hungry =P ) Even during Jesus' time there were many people who stubbornly did not believe him, and many others believed in other religions. On a lighter note.....geog tomorrow. havent done last minute cramming, couldnt care less =) Oh well.

Hello! I just read lon hau's post and it actually makes some sense for the first time, yeah i think christainity went through changes as it was passed on from generation. thats why there are many different types of christian like anglicans, catholics. But most of the time, their belief is the same.

Anyw sometimes when i pray, I feel like i am talking to an empty space like theres no reply, its just me talking to myself. Cus i dont really close my eyes to pray, my maid thinks i am crazy talking to the wall. And when i hear things, i think its my conscious doing the talk. Like for example i pray that i can concentrate more on my studies and not games but in the end its because of guilt i start studying. Its quite hard to believe in things that you cant see or hear. I mean we have read stories about god doing miracles like the sepearating of the red sea or the healing of the blind but we dont really see it through our own eyes like its just stories passed on from generation to generation. its not very real to me.

I asked some of my friends, they are no regular church-goers but they tell me they still pray. but they only pray when they need something like good results, i mean its not really wrong but we should also pray and thank god for the things we have but sometimes even including me i always take it for granted. i see everyone around me have it to, i would think its just normal for me to have it too, nothing to be glad about.

I have one more week to prelims !! Oh and i got back my chinese o level chinese grades.I seriously thought i would fail, i was praying to pass then i dont need to redo again. But i actually passed and got an A2.. I was super happy , i was jumping and screaming like crazyy. haha okay.. better get back to studying.

i've an impotant question to ask, my mom suggested to me that maybe..just maybe, all the other religions that spread good faith and good moral values like the muslim religion and buddhism, originated from christianity!

think about it this way, jesus needed desciples, and maybe those people who created other religions like prophet mohammed was under the teaching of jesus, and went abroad to other places to spread the teachings also. but he was influenced by local culture and changed the values a little bit, and so, created his own religion.

i heard that Dr au swee eng, used to, n maybe still, gives lectures to explain christianity based on science. it would be great to listen to his lectures. - according to my mom who was in wesley for quite a while several years ago

Just had a big argument wif my mum 2...cos she was shouting at me to go study and stuff though i just finished haf of my exams and this week's my free week.....she's alwez goin on about how i am so irresponsible and unable to exercise mt self control. sigh...i wish my parents were more tactful....i know i know, i shudnt be like that but they are unreasonable 2. and then my mum just erupted on me till i slammed my door in her face =P. haiz, better go say sorry to her now. On a brighter side, i aced english =) 23/30 =D haha at least that's one less thing to worry about. But i still havent studied lit yet =( or geog =( or life science X(. I am dead. Why am i so stressed out? I've been studying lik siao these days and , as u can see, havent been posting for soooooo long. all this for good results? I mean, there has to be more to it. I don't believe life is all about studying , getting good grades, going to a prestigous university, becoming a lawyer or something and then end up being a boring old guy with loads of money. Anyway, there still has to be more to life...but try to explain that to parents. Mine's always going on bout their days when they studied like robots, had no feelings at all. God didnt make us to study all day so we can get more money in the future. We're supposed to dedicate our life to him. Not waste it away for our materialistic means. Life is valuable, dont waste it away....i know, it sounds so much like an excuse, but........it isnt. I dont hate studying, i just feel that too much is a waste of my life. But some people just cant seem to see how much i study. My mum saw me in my room, READING BOOKS, and she blew her top cos i was supposed to be studying ( i was erm...doing "lit" .....er....yeah =D ....right...) I mean, parents beg their children nowadays to read books. Sheesh. Sigh, sometimes, i wish i could return to childhood and lose the need to carry all this pressure and stress......all this freaking out due to exams....

Hello! I think I'm seriously double-faced. I'm happy yet troubled, troubled yet happy. Rawr. I feel happy blogging here though. :)

I have realised that Tzeyong is an obssessive sms-er. For every one sms I send him, he sends 2 or 3, sometimes 4. haha. That is rather funny. And I have been smsing him alot too, I find. Hm.

I am reading my 'no fear, shakespeare' version of The Merchant Of Venice now, where the whole story is translated into simplified, normal english, instead of the complex shakespeare english I simply cannot understand. POOH. Literature test on Monday.

I should really be sleeping soon, since I have prefect work at 7.30am tomorrow, but the energy of Snow Patrol is keeping adrenaline pumping through my veins so I can last a while more. I'm sure you can tell, however, that I'm beginning to lose it already. Oh golly. FIE FIE! shakespeareeeeeee.

I had lots of fun on Sunday, esp during truth or dare! :)Cant wait to go to Tzeyong's house to be gay all over again. I have a science test the next monday though. Its an awful party pooper. Nevertheless, why worry now? Lets push our troubles aside and listen to NDP songs, since national day is on thursday, making next week a short one. I have about 6 NDP songs to memorise by next wednesday, to lead the school in singing, like enthusiastic prefects are supposed to be. :) I love Singapore; going for national day parade on thursday. hehe, I shall tatoo my face.

hmm. i was thinking bout the global warming subject and bout the whole earth crashing down.
god DOES have a point. this world is screwed. seriously screwed. those korean missionaries who went to afganistan ot smth got captured by lousy talibans and few of them even got killed cuz the government didnt grant them what they wanted.

if god wants to punish us, how bout jus punish those talibans first? why not jus send some flying pork bomb or smth over their territory and watch them suffer?

there's also a campaign to save the missionaries that has been around everyone's email. so if anyone had received it, please help!!!
